Where do we start?

Cleansing:

The first step in any skincare routine is cleansing

Cleansing helps to remove unwanted dirt, make-up and oil from the skins surface (we recommend)

HERBAL ESSENTIALS GENTLE RENEWAL SCRUB
Use a gentle, non-abrasive cleanser. Wet your face with lukewarm water and use your fingertips to apply cleanser. Resist the temptation to scrub your skin because scrubbing irritates the skin. Rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry with a soft towel.

Dry brushing is another effective way to remove dead skin cells and dirt from the surface of your skin, while also promoting the production of healthy oils. Dry brushing is exactly what it sounds like: you brush your skin, while dry, with a natural fiber brush.

Whichever method you choose, make sure you’re gentle with your skin as scrubbing too hard can cause irritation, redness, and even micro-tears in the skin.

Once you’ve chosen a cleansing method, it’s time to move on to exfoliation

Exfoliation is the process of removing dead skin cells from the outer layer of your skin. While some people believe that this improves the appearance of their skin, it’s not for everyone. If not done properly, it could do more harm than good.

If you use a scrub or chemical exfoliator, apply the product gently using small, circular motions. Do this for about 30 seconds, and then rinse off with lukewarm — not hot — water. If you use a brush or sponge, use short light strokes. Never exfoliate if you have open cuts or wounds or if your skin is sunburned. Chemical exfoliants, like acids and retinoids, can be more effective at unclogging pores and preventing breakouts.

If you have sensitive skin, it’s important to be careful when choosing an exfoliant. Some exfoliants can be harsh on the skin, so it’s important to choose one that’s right for your skin type  (we  recommend)ALYA SKIN Pomegranate Exfoliator Facial Scrub

Once you’ve cleansed and exfoliated your skin, it’s time to moisturise

A moisturizer replenishes the moisture in the skin, increasing hydration and making the skin softer. Moisturizer may also eliminate dry spots, flakiness, redness and fine lines.

Moisturizing helps your skin stay young. The most sensitive areas of your skin – the face, ears, neck, and chest – replace themselves more often than any other area on your skin. This daily loss of skin cells leaves these areas vulnerable to the dryness and the elements – in fact, they are highest-risk areas for skin cancer. Moisturizing can help give your sensitive skin the boost it needs to repair itself and stay healthy.

It’s also important to choose a moisturiser that contains sunscreen if you’re going to be spending time outside. Sun exposure can cause damage to the skin, so it’s important to protect yourself from the sun’s harmful rays(we  recommend)ALYA SKIN - Australian Native Berries Moisturizer
